Week #13 12/1 - 12/6

Since the holiday season is here I started to focus on some gifts to make for people. This week I worked on this coat hanger for one of my sisters houses. I started with a different design for the backing and the hook but once I printed out the original hook design I decided to enlarge both the hooks and the backing. The coat hanger will feature seven hooks on a 3/4 inch wooden backing where the hooks will be set in so that the back piece is flush with the wood.

the coat hanger is going to be used for a toddler so I originally started by making small hooks but once I printed the first one I realized a larger hook would still work even for smaller jackets. I tried to make the hooks have a very simple yet attractive shape that will not break easily as toddlers can be a bit rough with their belongings sometimes.
