At the start of this week I took the chair seat and back that I cut out last week and did some sanding to get them cleaned up. When I finished sanding them I attached the seat and back to the frame but I decided to screw the pieces in from the top. This method of screwing the pieces in had no issues holding the pieces to the chair but I realized it made much more sense to screw the pieces in from the back. Screwing the pieces in from the back has more benefit as the screws are not visible from the top and also if I decide to upholster the chair I will still have access to the screws.

Since I changed the screws from being from the top to the bottom there were some holes left over which is no issue as I am going to use some wood filler to cover them and then paint over the filled holes. I will be doing this at home however because there is not much time left in the year and I need to focus on my shelf project.

The final project I need to finish in the shop is the shelf for the end of my bed. This week I cut out the first pieces of my shelf on the router. I am only cutting out some of the pieces on the router as about half of the pieces I need for the shelf are just square pieces of wood and can easily be cut out with hand tools at my house instead of the CNC router.
