This week my chair finally came to life. last weekend I got two sheets of plywood that I used to make my chair and I will use to also make a shelf that I have been designing this week. I did not make much in the way of changes to my chair this week besides finding the leg length I wanted. After I knew the chair was how I wanted it I created a V-Carve file for it so I could cut it out on the CNC router. To the design the V-Carve file was pretty quick and the cuts also did not take long so now all I have for the chair is to assemble it and figure out how I will cover up the grip tape so I am not sitting on sand paper.

The idea for the shelf I designed is that it will go at the and of my bed, and it is made to fit specific items that is how I determined the size of the compartments. The top of the shelf features a large open compartment which will act as a place to grab something quick like a hoodie or sweatpants. The whole shelf is designed to be made on the router and slot together. This will make assembly easy as I will just need to screw it together.
