Last week I got my chair all cut out on the CNC router so now it was time to assemble it. The first step was to glue the side pieces together and use half inch dowels to help hold the chair together. I put a healthy layer of glue on each side of the chair pieces and used many clamps to hold the pieces. Along with helping hold the pieces together the dowels also help align the pieces so they are perfectly held together. Once the pieces were fully glued I cut off the ends of the dowels and sanded the pieces one last time.

After the pieces were glued I stained each side piece the same color as I used on all the seat braces. Now that all the pieces were stained I screwed all the braces in so the chair is finally all one pieces and it looks like a chair. The next step is to take all the supports I made for under the braces and to screw them to the top and side boards of the chair. I have considered not using skate boards as the seat and back anymore due to comfort concern so I will design a new seat and back for the chair in hopes to improves the comfort of the chair.
