Week #19 1/26 - 1/31

Well this week for me was not a very eventful one as I was not in school Tuesday or Wednesday. I have been terribly sick this week and even as I am in school writing this post I still am sick but I did not want to miss any more school.

On Monday I hot glued all the pieces of my cardboard chair mock up together. The size of the chair roughly felt how I expected it to but there were some clear issues when assembling. I designed the back of the chair to mount to the holes in the skate board decks but I did not take into account the whole length of the deck and it was just a little too short to fit the deck. Apart from this there were a few small changes that I made to other areas of the chair but this was the main change. Also I should mention that when I glued the cardboard together some pieces slipped out of place, this is not due to the design just the nature of hot glue.

The changes that I made to my file were to the back rest. I changed the length of the first bend in the back so it would fit the entire length of the skate deck. I also thickened the whole back rest as I felt it would improve the strength of the chair. In the picture you can see the back looks a little wider, I am unsure if I will make similar changes to the seat of the frame but that might need to happen.
