Week #20 1/29 - 2/2

This week in shop Catastrophe stuck. On Monday everything was going as planned but then when Tuesday came around everything went wrong. I started out Monday fine, it was finally that day I was going to cut my wood into the final body of my guitar. The first cut went excellent, but the second cut failed. What happened is that I made a mistake by not checking the tightness of the 1/2" bit in the router before cutting. On the last pass of my second cut the bit became loose and slipped down out of the chuck too far so it was cutting a much deeper depth than what the Machine thought. What I ended up with was a hole in the body right where the electronics were supposed to go.

While I wait for my new block of wood to ship I have taken on a project for the shop designing some shelves for tables that we have in the shop. Here is a picture of one of my designs and there are more to come next week.
