This week I shifted my focus to be around the pickguard. I started out by testing some methods of finishing the aluminum until I landed on my original idea, which is to start by sand blasting the metal and then using a wire brush on it. I like this method since when the pickguard builds up many scratches and things I will just be able to wire brush it and they will go away.
The next part that I worked on this week were the electronics. I soldered all of them together and attached them to a cardboard version of the pickguard to keep them safe until I put them on the real pickguard. This was a very big step towards the completion of my project since now all I have left on the body is to finish it and assemble everything. Then I'm onto the neck.
