This week I many little things to update on my chair. The first thing thing I added was to create a small brace to screw into the bottom of the cross beams on my chair and into the side frame. My class mates pointed out to me last week that the chair design could prove to be a tad "wobbly". This is a fix I wanted to make but before was unsure on the best way to do so. I created a small brace that will cut down the wobbling from side to side that could have been present in the previous design.

Additionally I needed to ad some half inch holes in the chair to slide in half inch dowels that will keep the two pieces of each side frame perfectly aligned when they are being screwed together. Another small change that was made to the frame was that I made the legs of the chair a small bit longer so it will be more comfortable to sit down and get up. I will cut out the design to make sure its as tall as I want it before I make my final version.

Another thing that I worked on this week was helping my classmate with his router project. We first uploaded his file to V-Carve Pro and that was pretty quick as the design is fairly simple. Then we got his wood ready on the router which was partially new for me as I have never used the router without a piece of MDF board so I learned how to use the rubber gaskets to hold wood to the router bed.
