The next part that I needed to complete on the fish feeder was to drill and tap the new holes to mount the motor plate. I started by figuring out the proper hole spacing in my cad file. Then I used my cardboard cut out of the mount to mark the holes on the fish feeder frame. I then used a center punch to get my holes started. Once it came time to drilling I started with a smaller sized drill bit than I would need to tap the holes and I then worked up to the size hole I would need. After drilling the last step was to tap the holes.

Next I helped Mr. L teach the sophomore Robotics and Engineering students how to use one of the milling machines. The sophomores are working on the Turners Cube project which is the first milling project that you do in our shop. The first step is to face all sides of the cube. After facing you can cut the cube down to size and then drill holes in all sides of the cube.
